Gumroad payout delayed: the reasons Gumroad lists
Gumroad pays creators once a week, and a payout can only include a sale that is at least 7 days old. If a payout is delayed by more than one week, Gumroad asks you to email it. - Check your payouts page and your Payment Settings page. Gumroad says they show what is missing or why payouts are paused. (point GU10)
- If your PayPal account cannot receive US dollars, add US dollars to its currencies. Gumroad sends all PayPal payouts in US dollars. (point GU9)
- If the delay is more than one week, email Gumroad. (point GU3)
What not to do
- Do not buy your own products to speed up a review. Gumroad says those are not legitimate sales and are not paid out. (point GU7)
Questions
Why was my payout skipped?
Gumroad names an account that is not reviewed yet, a bank or PayPal problem, an issue with the account, incomplete verification, a pause, or simply that it was not your payout day. Read 2026-10-16.
Is my money lost while the account is in review?
Gumroad says none of the money is lost: the earnings stay in your balance and the review stops holding them once the account is marked compliant.
Can Gumroad speed up a review?
Gumroad says it cannot. It asks you to wait until you have made 2-3 more sales and then email it for clarification.
What about the chargeback rate?
Gumroad says payouts are paused automatically above 1% of sales volume and the pause is lifted when the rate is back at or under 1%, checked daily.
