Upwork payment pending: what Upwork says
Upwork states a review period and a five-day security hold for fixed-price work, and a 10-day wait for hourly work. These are the normal timings, not a promise for one payment.

Fixed-price contracts
OFFICIAL After you submit work, the client has up to 14 days to review it. With no response within 14 days the funds are released automatically.
